The Portable AC/DC IEQ Sample Pump by Enviromentor Monitoring Systems (EMS) is designed to accommodate numerous sampling situations (area, wall, carpet, etc) The pump draws a precise volume of air (5 to 22 liters per minute (LPM)) which is adjusted to the desired volume (depending on the test being performed) by means of a built-in rotameter. There is also a built-in timer that allows the technician to establish the duration of the sampling being performed. We use the EMS pump primarily to collect air samples using Zefon Air-O-Cell(TM) cassettes, which capture mold spores, pollen, and other airborne particulates by inertial impaction of the particles onto a glass slide that can be examined by microscope at the laboratory.

The DryCal DC-Lite is a field portable primary flow calibrator that is used for industrial hygiene, environmental and laboratory measurement applications. The DC-Lite uses patented dry piston technology and infrared sensors to obtain volumetric flow rates quickly and accurately. At A Nose for Mold, we use the DC-Lite to precisely calibrate our rotameter prior to every test, thus insuring that all data is as accurate as possible and most importantly, court defensible.

Protimeter Moisture Measurement System (CMMS) is a powerful and versatile instrument for measuring and diagnosing dampness in buildings and building materials. This instrument allows us to precisely measure moisture levels of building elements such as walls, floors, and building environments. In the course of our inspection we will check and record the relative humidity and temperature inside and outside of the home. We can also obtain percent moisture contrast (%MC) values in wood and check suspect areas for wood moisture environment (%WME) values. If you would like to learn more about this device. read about it
